What is Heat Boost?

One of the age-old questions when it comes to making your garments warmer is how do you do it without adding bulk to the garment? Particularly when the mercury drops below zero, you really want to have a garment that allows you to still bow hunt and firearm hunt, climb into your saddle or tree stand without adding extra bulk, weighing you down, or tangling you up inside the garment.

Our answer to that problem is Heat Boost graphene technology. We took graphene yarn and knitted it right into our high pile sherpa garments. When we use graphene technology, it allows us to retain our body heat longer. It’s absorbed into the graphene that’s knitted inside of the sherpa. This means it retains the heat and reflects it back to you. Therefore, we do not have to add a whole bunch of extra filler such as polyfill or feather down to make this jacket warmer. This allows it to stay thinner, which means you stay more flexible while still staying warmer than traditional fabrics.

Heat Boost works a lot like a pot of hot water on the stove: once you to get it to boil it’s definitely hot. But then it remains hot long after it's done boiling - that's what Heat Boost is inside of your jacket, pants, or bibs. Once you add your body heat to the graphene sherpa on the inside, it retains the heat longer. With a windproof and/or waterproof film on the Saskatoon and Matterhorn garments, it keeps that cold air from penetrating into the Heat Boost, making sure it stays warmer longer and keeps you on stand.
